The measure of the thermal resistance of a duvet, that is how much heat will it be able to retain is measured in Togs. If you find that you normally feel hot and uncomfortable when you are asleep then you would choose one with a low tog rating such as 4.5. If however you find that you are often cold then naturally you would choose a duvet with a high tog rating in the range of 12.5. So you can actually buy duvets to use in the different seasons.
