Finding Personal Growth in Household Communication
Finding Personal Growth within your household’s communication can seem tricky to achieve, but with persistence, and the right tips, those bonds can easily be mended. The initial problem is that today’s “modern” family is consumed in busy life. Not even the children, nowadays seem to have the time for family bonding.
You can regain your Family
There are many ways to get the family together. Listed below are 6 tips to get the family together having fun, making memories, and gaining personal growth in household communication:
Home: Top Priority
It’s important to realize just how important your family is to you. You have to keep your immediate family on the top of your list. These people should most definitely include your spouse, children, and then other relatives before your job, and most importantly, before your play time. Many years of countless university studies show that 60% of divorce rates in America are caused because either spouse didn’t make their family a top priority. Let the people you love know that you care about them enough to put their needs and emotions above all others. This will certainly help the bonding begin.
The the time to talk
You must take time out to speak to one another. A great way to start sharing and communicating is by saying good morning to one another before sitting down at the breakfast table. Communication can only start when you begin to talk to each other. The more we speak to a certain individual, the more we become comfortable with them. Parents in particular need to initiate the conversation starters. Once your children realize that you are not afraid to find out what they like, and truly listen to them, they will begin to share with you as well.
Sit Down & Eat Together
It’s a good idea to sit down at the dinner table for your family meals. Breakfast and dinner are said to be the most productive time for family chit-chat and bonding. This would be a great way to start to develop a connection and build growth within your family circle.
Fit Family Time into your Schedule
Some people find themselves working more hours at work in order to take care of the responsibilities at home. Just surviving a recession doesn’t make it any easier to sacrifice work time for anything else. However, the trick isn’t in placing your family before your job consistently, but to think about your family as you decide your own work and personal schedule. Your family should be top of the list at all times.
Find time for Romance -
It’s important to remember that your marriage or dating life revolves around showing emotion as well as, physical expressions of that love. When you are working constantly, and neglecting to give your partner the attention they deserve, it can cause major problems, one of which could be adultery. When a person has an issue, and you aren’t there to speak to them, they find it easier to just let the problem get worse. If, in fact a woman spent too much time at work, and not enough time with her husband, in a romantic way, she would feel more comfortable telling him how she felt if they communicated on a daily basis. The root of a family’s household with children is the romance within the marriage.
Play Games Together
Another great idea is to play games with your family. Board games are a particularly good way to start the barrier breaking process. Puzzles games can also assist in building bonding moments your family. The thing is, when we play games, especially strategic games, we naturally have to work together. The trick is allowing the family to learn how to rely on one another in order to build communication and love within your family.

Ways To Help Motivate A Child
I have two children and even though I love them to bits, I have to say that at times they need motivating to do their homework or to help out around the house, for example. This article describes how I go about this child motivation. What we have been attempting to do, as explained within this article, have proved to be extremely successful in helping our own children and I am more than confident that they could be beneficial to other children.
Now I do not work with children and therefore would certainly not class myself as any sort of expert. I am a speech coach by day helping people that have a stuttering problem to achieve fluency. I also work on various other projects including helping a company that offer cheap calls and also within the external doors sector.
I remember when I met my step-daughter, she was five years of age and quite a character. I felt a bit sorry for her however as she spent a lot of time at a childminders. The childminder would take her and pick her up from school. On some days her mother would not be able to collect her until around 8pm.
After a few months of dating her mother, I offered to help out by stating that I could take her to school and pick her up. My step-daughter said that she wanted me to do this and it was all agreed.
Up to this point she had never really been made to do her homework, either by her mother who was very busy and often tired or by the childminder.
After we arrived back at the house; I asked her whether she had been given any homework to complete. She passed me her reading folder. In the folder was a book which she was supposed to read. OK; we can read the book together; I suggested. Mummy does not make do any homework, she replied. This was rather a shock to me as was the attitude with which she had said it. Well things are going to change then because in the future, and starting now, you will be doing your homework.
My step-daughter had a bit of strop and started to cry. Your not my dad, you can not make me do it, she continued. I basically had to be very strong and made her read the book. There happened to be around fifteen words that she could not pronounce and I proceeded to write them all down in the form of a list. We then spent around ten minutes where I attempted to teach her the words. This was all rather tedious for my step-daughter.
I then told her that we would now play a game, which is called the mouthing game. She would pick a word from the list and just mouth the word without making a sound. If I could guess what she had mouthed, she would get a point and then it would be my turn.
She really enjoyed this game and on the way home from school on the next day, she asked if we could play the game again. Of course we can but we need to read the book first, I said. She replied that this was fine. This is one example of many games we play when doing homework or any other task which the children see as mundane.
I also compliment both children and tell them how much I love and am proud of them at regular intervals. I give them rewards when they have a good school report and encourage them to always give things ago even if they believe that they might fail in the specific task. In my opinion there is no such thing as failure if you have tried your best.
Understanding a Child’s Fears and Worries
As a parent it is important that we understand what potential problems our child has. It goes without saying that many children have various anxieties and worries; I know that I certainly had quite a few as I was growing up. In this article, I write about the types of fears that this might be and about how we can help our children to cope and to get through life in the best possible and stress-free way.
I am by now a child social worker and what I write within this article is just my own personal opinion. I actually work within the composite front doors industry; I am also involved with a training for foster carers company and with a group of cost reduction specialists.
Many children are able to pick up on what their parents are worrying about. They may hear arguments about money and can then start to worry themselves about the financial situation their family may be in. I am a parent myself and try where possible to only discuss serious issues with my partner when the children are out or are asleep. If I believe that one of my children has overheard a conversation which I would have rather they hadn’t, I then talk to them to attempt to reassure them that everything is OK.
Children may also worry that their parents may break up and that they will end up living apart. They will no doubt hear that this has happened to their friends and may wonder and stress about how their lives would change if this happened to them.
My children have told me that they worry and that they fear that one of their parents may die in the near future. It is quite difficult to explain to them that this is unlikely to happen as it obviously could. I try and laugh it off which may not be the best policy, by stating that I am still very young and that I have no plans to leave this planet in the near future. I explain to them the age that the average male will live to in our country and that normally, I hope, makes them feel better.
Another form of stress and anxiety for many children, is of course, attending school. Will they be able to comprehend all of the work that they are given? Will they be able to obtain a good examination mark and a good report? Will they be able to make their parents proud of them? I have told my own children not to worry about these issues and to just try their best.
Socialising and meeting friends can also bring its own tensions. Children make and break friends at regular intervals, especially during the early teenage years. It can be quite stressful when friends have a disagreement or argument. When this happens to my children, I make a point of saying that it has been the fourth time in a month that you and Amy as an example, have had a falling out. Your sure to make friends again in the near future.
As children get a bit older there is then the challenge of meeting a member of the opposite sex. We all know the problems and strains that this can bring. At this time I think it is just a matter of being there for your children and getting them through these difficult years the best and easiest way possible.
Children’s creativity – encouraging drawing and coloring
The simple acts of drawing and coloring are literally childs’ play, however, they both play an important role in your child’s physical, emotional and cognitive development. Like no other activity, the hobby of drawing and coloring allows young children to express emotions, experience autonomy and build their confidence.
Parents and caregivers such as teachers and grandparents can promote the hobby of drawing and coloring as a way to improve physical, social, emotional and cognitive development-and to have a lot of fun along the way too. Here are some suggestions:
1. Provide your grankids with nontoxic materials, blank sheets of white paper and coloring pages.
2. Model drawing. Show children that you enjoy drawing and coloring too – make designs but do not show your children what they should draw.
3. Encourage all drawing and coloring efforts by talking about the beautiful colors, the lines and shapes the child has made.
4. Rather than ask, “What have you drawn?,” say “Tell me about your drawing”.Asking “What is that?” suggests to the child that s/he has failed to depict what they intended.
5. Talk about issues such as thin or thick, or the concept of wide, narrow, dark, light, edge, shape, contour, etc.
6.Display their art in a prominent place – such as the kitchen fridge, and in places where visitors to your home will see them. Point them out to visitors, friends and relatives – the praise fthey will receive for the work will boost a child’s self esteeem and confidence.
7. Give children the freedom to choose the subjects of their drawings and of their coloring sheets. Some argue that coloring sheets do little to foster children’s creativity – however they play a pivotal role in developing a child’s fine motor skills – a pre-cursor to writing – and often encourage children who wouldn’t otherwise draw and color to pick up a crayon to color in their favourite character. For example little girls may enjoy coloring images of fairytale princesses while boys enjoy coloring images of favourite characters such as Pokemon or Spongebob Squarepants and at sites like Spongebob Coloring Pages you’ll find many Spongebob printables Please supervise children as they draw and colour because crayons are a choking hazard!.
Children’s Ride-On Toys
When a kid is under the age of 5, there are usually very limited options for things they can do outside. They can play and run, but they will not ride a bike, or get on a scooter like many of the other children they may see while out. This means that they have to find something akin to do. My girl always adored the kids ride on toys that my mother got for her, and I know that plenty of other children love them also. There are several types that go with different age groups, and many can be saved for the next child, if you are having more.
The smallest kid will need children ride on toys that permit them to sit in them without falling out. This implies that there should be some way of support for them. The type having a roof and a door could be costlier, but they are also safer for the child that is just starting out with the youngsters ride on toys. These youngsters might not be able to master pedals just yet, so these should be ones they can push with their feet. Check them over for breaks if they are passed down to you before you let the child ride.
The children ride on toys for children who can pedal all alone come in many different sizes and colours. Some comes in the theme of TV characters. These are a ton of fun for a child that’s not really prepared for a bike, but wants to ride around like the other children. When buying these, you have got to be sure your child is tall enough to use it nicely. If their legs are too short they will not be able to reach the pedals or they won’t be in a position to get off and on without falling down.
You can find kids ride on toys anywhere you find toys, for the most part, and you may also ask your friends and relations to work out if they have any used ones that they don’t need anymore. Just make sure they are in good shape before you allow your youngster to utilize them. You will find them online as well , and you may find some there that you can not find locally. Shipping can be a problem, but many of them are light and the costs for shipping them to your home won’t be as bad as you could think.
Many of the most popular ride-on toys are produced by the Little Tikes company. They have been making their Little Tykes Cozy Coupe for 30 years now and they have introduced a special 30th Anniversary model on sale this year.
Music That Appeals To Children
Youngsters love music and today there are so many kid songs made by gifted artists, it can be hard to select a favorite. Music is an excellent way to help children learn and interact with each other and it’s a wonderful way to have some great fun. Kid songs change by style and artist so your little one has a great number of options for his musical tastes.
One of the freshest bands that make a plethora of kid songs is the Laurie Berkner Band. This band is a fave among little ones across the U. S. . Laurie Berkner works in collaboration with her husband and a trusted chum to scribble and produce a great number of kid songs for your small one to enjoy.
This band offers a diverse portfolio of musical styles that are sure to meet any music lover’s tastes. The kid songs are appealing to kids and adults alike and the diverse sorts of musical styles the band uses are wonderful. Kids have a unique opportunity to get introduced to a variety of different kinds of music.
For example, the Laurie Berkner Band has created some songs that appeal to the blues. Some of my daughter’s favourite kid songs are drafted in the classic blues style. The band produced a lovable tune called I Know a Chicken that not only helps youngsters learn about animals and animal sounds. It also introduces them to the rhythmic blues tempo found in music from that genre. The song just about makes me think of a tune performed by the Muddy Waters Blues Band.
The Laurie Berkner Band also offers kid songs that have an island appeal. The song Under a Shady Tree has an excellent Reggae beat that is quickly recognized by any Bob Marley fan. This helps children gain a feeling for various types of music and it helps them understand that a place can be captured by a tune.
There are a lot of other bands that offer great kid songs but none match the Laurie Berkner Band. The favored kid’s channel, Noggin features this band in a number of shows and specials. These shows and specials are on the head of our house’s family viewing list.
My girl is looking forward to seeing what this interesting youngsters’s band has to supply next. I have to admit that I do, too. I didn’t think that kid songs could be so entertaining and academic.
