Sometimes the upscaling of low quality signals results something to be desired. There are times when a person’s face can look a bit granulated or boxy. Use it with Blu ray player or some other High Definition source and you will be in paradise. I simply like it. Just know that this TV, like other high contrast tvs, uses a bit shiny screen which can shine so be take care of your light sources in the area.
