A Vast Majority of People Have Nice Cars

While I was driving to the office about a month back I started to get stuck in a huge traffc jam, I was getting really bored and fed up. After a while I glanced over to the other side of the carriageway, to my astonishment for at least 30 minutes every car that went pass was so nice. There I literally was in my car that was falling to bits whilst everyone else was driving their own brand new motors. I mean how do they get them?

After briefly thinking for a while I have come to the decision that there are only two ways of getting these brand new vehicles, please see below.

1) They purchase cars on finance which they really cant afford and then they struggle to make repayments. People go and get the best vehicles around and they literally cannot keep up with the monthly payments that they commited themselves too for so long.
2) In my opinion this is how a lot of people are getting their vehicles and it is the best possible way, something that could in fact overtake buying vehicles is car leasing. Car leasing lets you get a much nicer car than you could usually have, without paying for it all at once. You pay a monthly rate for a brand new car; you simply do not have to deal with repairs, MOTs or anything else. When your contract has ended you just hand the car back and get a brand new one.

To be honest the second option sounds so interesting that I might just go and get myself a new car on a lease contract tomorrow. it certainly sounds very tempting

LED Car Lights More Popular Than Ever

When someone has made the switch to LED headlights from standard bulbs, you can spot them a mile off by the clear and pure white light that is being emitted from their car. These lights have seen their popularity soar recently and are selling out all over the place. But what makes this innovation better than the others?

Firstly, a far superior quality of light is produced which helps driving. Wolfgand Huhn, Audi’s lighting exert said recently “everyone who has seen these lights in action is not only astonished by the excellent output but also thrilled with the homogenous distribution of light and the agreeable, daylight-esque colour of the light.”

The LEDs have a far superior efficiency rating that conventional lights.  The average energy consumption of the lights in a car using normal bulbs is around 200w while a car fitted with the new LED beacon lights will only demand around 15watt of power. What this means is than fuel consumption can actually be reduced and their is less strain put on your battery. This is turn reduces CO2 emissions and goes some way to helping the planet.  Your wallet will feel the benefit as well, not only because you are spending less on filling up the car but also because the LED’s have a practically indefinite service life.

Lastly, these innovative lights will act to increase driving safety. They react up to 10 times faster than traditional incandescent bulbs or obstruction lights and their purer light makes seeing hazards easier. Your less likely to find yourself in the pitch black as their durability means failing bulbs are a rarity. These lights are now being utilized for both low and high beams and also for indicator lights meaning that their benefits can be multiplied and have a greater all round affect.

Why You Need to Buy a New Car

Cars are a major factor in everyones lives, but as cars develop than they get a lot more expensive because of the technology surrounding it. But some people argue that new cars are just not as strong as old ones used to be. So let us take a brief look at the benefits of owning both a new car and an older model

New Car Benefits
1) The vehicle has a lot more technology built on board and you will get a lot more comfortable drive out of it, things such as cruise control, air conditioning and ICE are just regular in cars these days.
2) When buying a new car you are almost guaranteed to get around for at least three years before the car decides to break down.
3) New vehicles do tend to have a lot more space than squashed up olden ones.

Upsides of Older Cars
1) There core engines are a lot stronger and are built to last much more, vehicles in the olden days used to be created to last decades, now it is all about the money and new cars are just created to last a few years so you have to buy another.
2) They cost a lot less to fix whn they do break down, unless you buy a really expensive model.
3) They cost a lot less to by. If you are on a tight budget then going for a new car would not be an option, you would have to go for a stable used car.

Whichever route you decide to choose, you should be sure you read reviews and motoring news sites to see the most liked vehicles.

Leasing is Better Than Buying

In this current day and age having your own transport is essential as public transport will only let you down. People want to drive the best cars and they end up costing a fortune.

But is it truly worth purchasing a new car these days? Let as have a look at why I just do not like this.
1.) The new car models have been manufactured not to last very long so you have to go out and buy a new one.
2.) Even if the cars were built to last people are spread out all over the country, so basically people cover a lot more miles than they used to in the old days.
3.) Service parts for a vehicle cost a fortune.

I think back to the time when I first passed my driving test, it was an overwhelming experience, my first car was a bit clamped out but it never caused me any problems. These days I like to purchase newer cars but they always end up breaking.

Most people decide to purchase their vehicles on finance so by the time they pay them off the car would be dead anyway and then they would have to go and buy a new one, the manufacturers are very clever.  So in my opinion car leasing is probably one of the best options you pay probably less than you would as a monthly rate for finance, then when your term is up you hand the car back and get a brand new one, plus avoiding all of the cost of repairs and break downs.

Increase In Car Sales At Auction

As the new car market plummets to another all time low, there is better news in the second hand vehicle arena as auction houses are starting to see climbing figures.

The new car market is clearly not in a good way. Production is down at all the major car manufacturers and lay offs have been announced across the board. The prestigious national icon Bentley have announced redundancies last month. This move is clear evidence that it is not only bottom level car manufacturers seeing dwindling sales. Official figures show a 30.9% fall in new car registrations according to the Society of Motor Manufactures in January as compared to the previous year. This drop is said to be the largest of its kind for over 30 years and the direction shows no signs of changing soon. Industry experts are suggesting that the new car market won’t see an upturn for at least three years.

There has been better news in the second hand market, with the two big players in the auction world, Manheim and BCA reporting that sales have been getting better week on week. BCA stated that more vans and cars were sold in Jan 2009 than any previous year and prices of vehicles have been on the rise for the last three months. Increases on last year have been pitted around the £300 mark on average.

Van leasing and car leasing is also on the up it seems as the major leasers are reporting improving numbers this year. This is undoubtedly down to more people choosing to lease their cars and van rather than buying them outright during this recession. Out of all the countries in the UK car leasing in Cardiff has seen the biggest boost.

Manheim, the auctioneer company has released figures that show a spike in the sale of wholesale vans. The spike comes lengthy long lull and marks the first increase since last September. Yet another boost for 4 wheel-drive vehicles came this month which is will be the 6th month in a row.

The new BMW 7 Series.

The new seven series is a luxury car to set the ever increasing bar.

Power

Under the hood is bigger and better than any previous effort in the seven series – the 750iL boasts a mighty 400 horsepower (which is more than 40 more horses than before) and can rocket from zero to sixty in less than five seconds.  Although the miles per gallon of the new  4.4 liter V8 engine are a bit modest in terms of conservation (15 city and 23 highway), they are still competitive among the big boys in the luxury class.

Comfort

The new 750iL is big in terms of power, but the older versions often came under a lot of criticism when it came to the interior.  Larger bodied individuals often passed up previous cars in the seven series even though the power and handling were second to none, simply because they didn’t feel there was enough room for them in the cockpit.  The previous version of the seven series also came under some criticism for not having the seat adjustments in positions that were convenient enough for a larger person to adjust without a struggle.

BMW has reacted to criticisms of the previous model's interior by improving on the cab's head and leg room space. The arrangement of the control panel has also been made to please the driver.

The seven series is usually a chauffeur driven car but even the dignitaries will want to get a drive as often as possible.

Behind the Wheel

Incredible, almost space age options take the driving experience and the luxury car’s handling to unimaginable new levels. As ever the number of choices becomes more dream world like with each generation: night vision, side view cameras, rear wheel drive, and pedestrian detection.

There is improved anti-roll technology and individually operating electronic dampers to mention on the endless list of advances the car has made.  With the new technology in place the 750iL also out performs the competition in wet conditions as well.

BMW has always been a force to be reckoned with in the world of luxury cars, but even they seem to have outdone themselves with the new 750iL.  The look, feel and comfort of this car whether moving at sixty miles an hour down the highway or standing still is among the best of any luxury car made by any car manufacturer – and the eighty thousand dollar price tag makes it a steal when compared to some other luxury brands that are mentioned in the same breath.

Have the Car Industry Got it Wrong?

Everyone knows that the car industry is the one which is most affected. Although used cars are still widely being accepting, dealers are having trouble ridding of the new cars. The entire industry just points the finger on the credit crunch and believes a bailout is the correct option and will rejuvenate a dying market. But is this all the truth? Or is there a bit more news lying behind the framework.

Something does need to be done about this sector and I can tell you now that it is not a bailout. Quickly viewing in your mind, Does it really cost manufacturers huge sums of dollars to create a vehicle. Rumours state that vehicles are manufactured in just over 24 hours from beginning to finish and cost around $1000 for each car, which most obviously ends up selling for a profit of up to 90%.

Is the truth not that this sector is failing because they are overcharging? I understand that the marketing of a new vehicle will be considerably more. But when it comes to mass manufacturing, these cars are just getting developed and sold. The creators were trying to get alot of profit by charging an arm and a leg and this is why more pricey businesses are struggling, like the BMW.

This is also why budget cars that do exactly the same job such as Fiats and Fords are still thriving in a below average market. They offer great quality for an affordable rate and manufacturers are still making a profit. I have driven a Fiat that feels exactly like the higher branded cars.
