<p>When planning a Halloween party, the first thing to do is to send invitations. You can make invitations very easily using your computer and, if your children are old enough, they may like to design and print these themselves.</p>
<p>To avoid the frustration of people turning up at your party who have not RSVP’d, a good tip is to purposely omit the party’s commencement time from the invitation. Instead, try adding the line, ‘Please RSVP to know the party’s start time’ &#8211; this should significantly decrease the number of ‘gatecrashers’.</p>
<p>Costumes are next on the ‘to-do’ list and to kids this is one of the most exciting aspects of Halloween. Before talking with your children about the options, bear the following in mind:-</p>
<p>• Select a costume for your child that won&#8217;t disintegrate before the night&#8217;s festivities are over and one that won’t make the child feel too hot or cold.</p>
<p>• For safety’s sake, ensure the costume will not hamper your child&#8217;s movement.</p>
<p>• Face paint is a safer alternative to a visibility-impairing mask.</p>
<p>• If the costume is elaborate, dress your child in simple clothing underneath. This way they can easily step out of it to play games, to take a break or even visit the toilet.</p>

<p>As with any party, you can choose to either keep the décor simple with streamers and balloons or go all out and create your own Haunted House. When planning the party’s décor, bear in mind the ages of the kids who are attending. <p>Store-bought cobwebs and dimmed lights are wonderful additions to the Halloween atmosphere too. Older kids delight in sitting down to eat at a themed party table. For this wicked mix, combine four litres of chilled green lemon-lime soda, 24 ounces of orange juice concentrate, two packets of blue Kool-Aid and a few drops of green food colouring.</p>
<p>When planning your Halloween children’s party, prepare two to three games ahead of time. It&#8217;s also a good idea to have an extra little game or activity ready just in case. Children can be unpredictable and you need to be flexible – so, if a game is not working or is not being enjoyed, having a back-up means that you can easily substitute one with another.</p>

It is made in seconds, is a great consistency to play with and guests can also take some home in a sturdy zip-lock bag!</p>
<p>It is always a good idea to provide a quiet corner at parties for children who are not into games. Crayons, some colouring-in sheets, a batch of play dough and a few biscuit-cutters will keep little hands occupied. <p><strong>Washable window paints<br /></strong>A selection of tempera paints (powdered or premixed)<br /> Clear dishwashing liquid<br /> Mix powdered paints with dishwashing liquid until they resemble house paint. Line the window sashes with masking tape and spread newspaper under the window area to protect flooring. To erase paint or touch up mistakes just wipe paint away with a dry paper towel.</p>
<p><strong>Home-made coloring books</strong></p>
<p>Go online and download a dozen or so coloring book pages and collate them into a coloring book. Put this aside for rainy days or for long car/train/plane journeys. Little girls love to color images from fairy tales and of Princesses while boys prefer images of cars and trucks and of favorite characters such as Pokemon&#8217;s Pikachu. Cut out a shape with the cookie cutter and make a hole for the ribbon using the end of a drinking straw. Carefully put this aside to dry for several days &#8211; turning occasionally. This recipe makes 12 sweet smelling ornaments/drawer scenters.</p>
<p><strong>Goop</strong></p>
<p>2 packets of cornflour<br /> 2 cups of water<br /> Several drops of food colouring</p>
<p>Place newspaper or plastic sheets on your work surface. Mix the ingredients in a large bowl. Children love goop’s squeezy and squishy consistency. You can also use black or coloured paper to make goop paintings that are very different &#8211; if you wish. To remove goop from carpets, allow it to dry, then brush vigorously or vacuum. The great thing about goop is that it may be re-used after it has dried out. Crumble it into a powder then restore it to its original consistency by adding water a tablespoonful at a time.</p>
<p><strong>Funny putty<br /></strong>2 tablespoons of white glue<br /> 1 tablespoon of liquid starch<br /> Food colouring<br /> Mix glue together with the desired food colour. Pour starch over top. Swish so that all the glue is covered. Let set 5 minutes. Squeeze off extra starch and knead until mixed.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Bubbles<br /></strong>1 cup water<br /> 1/2 teaspoon of sugar<br /> 1 teaspoon of glycerine<br /> 2 tablespoons of liquid dish soap<br /> Mix water, glycerine and soap. Pour in sugar. Add food colouring if desired.</p>
<p><strong>Papier</strong> <strong>mâché</strong></p>
<p>1 cup flour<br /> 1 cup warm water<br /> 1/2 inch strips of newspaper<br /> Balloon/s</p>
<p>In a large bowl, mix flour and water – add more flour is mixture is too sloppy <em>(dripping)</em>. Place newspaper strips into mixture, then smooth onto blown up balloon. Cover the balloon completely twice, letting it dry in between layers. Do not cover the balloon’s knot. Dry in a nice, warm place for two or three days&#8230; then hold the knot and pop the balloon with a pin. Paint, glitter and decorate the balloon as is or cut in half so you have a bowl/hat shape to embellish.</p>
<p><strong>Modelling/play dough<br /></strong>2 cups flour<br /> 1 cup salt<br /> water<br /> food colouring</p>
<p>Mix the ingredients and knead to a dough consistency. Place the dough artwork in the oven on a low heat to speed up the drying process.</p>
<p><strong>Soap crayons</strong></p>
<p>1 3/4 cups of soap flakes</p>
<p>50 drops food colouring<br /> 1/4 cup water</p>
<p>Mix water and soap flakes together. Add food colouring and put mixture into an ice cube tray. When hardened, pop the ‘ice cubes’ out. These soap crayons are fun to write with on the tub and tiles during bath time. If grouting stains &#8211; make sure to spray with a weak solution of bleach.</p>
<p><strong>Sand dye</strong></p>
<p>Fine sand</p>
<p>Water</p>
<p>Food colouring</p>
<p>Paper cups</p>
<p>Plastic spoons</p>
<p>Fill paper cups half full with sand. Next, add water to cups to completely cover sand. Add food colouring to get the desired colour. Stir thoroughly with a plastic spoon and let set for 15 minutes. Pour off water, spoon sand onto paper towels and spread the sand out to dry. Use sand to make pictures (spread glue on paper and sprinkle sand on top) or to fill pretty bottles in layers.</p>
<p><strong>Cornstarch Art</strong><strong>/Finger-paint</strong></p>
<p>3 tablespoons of cornstarch</p>
<p>1/4 cup cold water</p>
<p>2 drops of dishwashing liquid</p>
<p>1 cup boiling water</p>
<p>Food colouring</p>
<p>Combine cornstarch and cold water &#8211; stir until smooth. Add dishwashing liquid. Pour boiling water into the bowl and stir until the mixture thickens. Add food colouring and then set aside to let it cool. Use as you would finger paint.</p>
<p><strong>Puffy Paint</strong></p>
<p>Flour</p>
<p>Salt</p>
<p>Water</p>
<p>Tempera paint</p>
<p>Mix equal parts of flour, salt and water in a bowl. Add a small amount of tempera paint to the mixture and pour into a small plastic squeezy bottle. Repeat this over and over to make as many colours as you wish. Squeeze this onto heavy paper or cardboard to make crazy designs. This mixture will harden into puffy shapes.</p>
<p><strong>Colourful Salt</strong></p>
<p>1/2 cup salt</p>
<p>5 to 6 drops of food colouring</p>
<p>Add food colouring to salt. Stir it well. Cook this in a microwave oven for 1-2 minutes or spread on waxed paper and let salt air dry. Store in an airtight container and use whenever you please, just as you would glitter.</p>

<p> 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese<br /> 600 grams of ground beef<br /> 1 cup of refrigerated rolls<br /> 1 cup of tomato sauce<br /> 1 paprika<br /> 1/4 teaspoon of garlic salt<br /> 1/4 teaspoon of salt<br /> 1 slightly beaten egg<br /> 1/3 cup of green pepper (chopped)<br /> 1 cup of green beans (drained)<br /> 1/3 cup onion (chopped)</p>
<p> Instructions</p>
<p> Set the oven at 190 degree C.</p>
<p> Cook the beef until brown in a large frying pan with green pepper and onion, and then drain.</p>
<p> Include beans, tomato sauce, salt and garlic salt, and then mix. Allow to simmer as the crust is prepared.</p>
<p> Cut crescent dough to eight triangular shapes.</p>
<p> Put the triangles in a 9-inch ungreased pie pan, and then form crust by pressing over the bottom and up sides.</p>
<p> Add and spread the slightly beaten egg and 1 cup of cheese on the crust.</p>
<p> Using a spoon, insert the hot mixture of meat into the crust.</p>
<p> Use the rest of cheese and paprika to sprinkle over.</p>
<p> Place in the preheated oven until golden brown for 20 to 25 minutes.</p>

<p>The seasoning is the most vital element in the preparation of seafood. <p>It is adviseable that crab soup be prepared with little pieces of crab meat as opposed to bigger chunks. Crab soup should retain much of it&#8217;s fluidity, unlike clam chowder. Once again, seasoning is important. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The other night I was with a friend of mine and we were feeling ambitious, so we decided to tackle a pretty tricky Mango <a target="_blank" href="http://welovechicken.com">chicken recipe</a> , despite the fact we were missing a lot of the ingredients. The main ingredients are present chicken, mangos, onions, orange juice, soo the rest can be consider optional.</p>
<p> Even if we had only a third from required orange juice we started cooking the recipe, without thinking we could ruin the food. We defrosted massive blocks of chicken, cut them up into small chunks and threw them in the pan and they cooked up nicely.</p>
<p> When we finished cooking the chicken, we added a half of a diced small red onion in. Now add a third of a cup of orange juice, leaving the rest for later, and that will sit for a while.</p>
<p> It was the beginnings of a sauce, a very minimally flavored sauce. We used frozen mangos and added them when it came to a boil. Still, everything was cooking nicely. We were getting there. I thought it was an <a target="_blank" href="http://welovechicken.com/tag/easy-chicken-recipes/">easy chicken recipe</a>. I was wrong.</p>
<p> Two tablespoons of cornstarch attenuate in hot water added to the and will firm the sauce<br /> Lacking cornstarch, we substituted flour. Our mistake was not adjusting the water/flour mixture. Because we lacked sufficient orange juice, and therefore flavoring for the sauce, we definitely shouldn&#8217;t have added so much. Instead, the sauce got real thick very fast. It still looked decent though, just really thick, bordering on slop and pretty close to baby food.</p>
<p> When we tasted it we were surprised. Tasting the sauce, I was neither horrified nor delighted, but surprised, as there was a hint of orange juice but the most intense flavour was something like flour. Without proper spices the baked chicken has no taste.</p>
<p> More onions would have also improved the flavor. We finished up our bowls of mango-chicken-flour slop and marked the recipe. It sure would taste good if we had made it right!
