50cc Scooters – Shall We Shop?
We can find a lot of scooters in the city and towns. Many main motorbike brands have offers on scooters. But why 50cc scooters?
50cc scooters have an engine size that classifies small motorcycles at the limit between the vehicle category or mopeds class. As for the right to drive 50cc scooters with or without a license, regulation and legislation differ in various parts of the world. For example, in some EU countries these motorcycles do not need a driving license, but the exceptions here are France and Italy where you need a driving license to operate vehicles up to 125cc. There is quite a big level of legal ambiguity for the definition and classification of scooters.
The licensing fees and the restrictions are less significant for 50cc scooters, and they belong to a separate category than motorcycles. This definition applies to vehicles above the 50cc engine capacity. Some jurisdiction have created an in-between class: thus, between 50 and 150cc, vehicles are referred to as motorized bikes. In other parts of the world, the class of motorcycles includes 50cc scooters as well. Hence, there is no common ground to discuss vehicle classes for all countries or states. Consequently, when you shop for a scooter or you search for information, you need to take such details into consideration as well, for avoiding problems.
50cc scooters are enjoyable and practical for both adults and teens, and the low fuel consume and the small design are the most convincing of the vehicle features. Sleek and sporty at the same time, you can take this type of vehicle as a trendy alternative to other means of transportation. You can zip around with a scooter, getting over the challenges of heavy traffic. Even if they have a small cylinder capacity, 50cc scooters incorporate modern four-stroke engines that increase mobility and insure a good speed rate.
50cc scooters are not so different from larger models, because manufacturers often follow common lines of design. Thus, 50cc scooters have sports brakes and exhausts, electric start modes and kick start modes as well as a variable form of storage. Before buying such a small motorcycle, do inquire about the documents you need for warranty and registration, but do not overlook the fuel consume either. Nevertheless, larger designs should be subject to the same form of investigation.
How To Prevent Injuries In Motorcycle Accidents?
It has been found that the incidence of accidents involving motorcycles is more with motorcycles than other vehicles. The major causes of these accidents involve other vehicles when they come in the way, obstacles in the path and driver error. Violent head injury could cause concussions and brain damage. This is the major risk involved in motorcycle accidents. Chin injuries too are common. These injuries can be prevented or minimized with the rider and the pillion rider wearing head protection gear which is to the approved standards. The other common injuries are breakage of joints in shoulders, knees, elbows, spine, wrists and hips, fingers and neck. It is common to find pelvis and shoulder injuries. However, it is possible to minimize these injuries and even prevent them. This can be done with extra padding of vulnerable joint regions in the jackets as well as pants. Dual density foam or foam padding can be used for this extra padding.
Soft tissue damage to the muscle and skin almost always occur. This happens when the body scrapes over the surface of the ground. Wearing protective apparel can prevent these types of injuries to a large extent. The protective apparel could be in the form of jackets made of such materials as cordura, leather, Kevlar, ballistic nylon and other synthetics. Reinforced pants could also be useful. There are many ways to minimize motorcycle accidents. One way is to make the motorcycle conspicuous so that other oncoming vehicles can easily see it. The visibility can be improved with the use of retro-reflective strips and head lamps. Highly visible jackets can also be worn by the rider. Yellow, orange or bright red are remarkably visible from a distance. Enhancing the visibility of the vehicle and the rider is an effective way to warn other of the movement of the motorcycle. Nevertheless, it is important that the riders will have to have a good understanding of the variety of causes of accidents and take the necessary precautions.
Scooters are also categorized under motorcycles. There are varieties of scooters including motorized scooters, kick scooters, gas scooters, electric scooters and mobility scooters. Kick scooters or Push scooters are designed for kids and are very popular amongst them. They do not have engines and so are free from pollution. Its movement is by the push and glide motion where the pushing is done by the leg of the rider. Electric kick scooters are also introduced in the market. The kick scooters can be conveniently transported and cheap, and come in a variety of attractive designs. These are increasingly popular amongst kids. Razor, for example, markets kick scooters such as Razor A & AW kick Scooter and Razor Scooters, miniature electric motorcycle as Razor Pocket Rocket, electric scooters such as Razor E100 Series Scooters and Razor E200S/E225S Scooter, electric wagons and miniature electric scooters.
Often highways and roadways are biased towards cars and heavy vehicles. It does not take into consideration that two wheeled vehicles. There are problems with attitude towards motorcycles by the motor vehicle drivers that often they encroach, dominate and show intolerance to motorcycles.
Cheaper And Better, Motorcycle Shows The Way
Engine powered two wheeler vehicles used for long distance travel is called motorcycles. Mopeds, sport bikes, scooters and cruisers fall under the category of motorcycles. The leg shields are which the mark the scooters from the rest. The engine has a low power, usually between 50 cc and 250 cc. Scooters are smoother to ride. They are cheaper too and has a lower maintenance cost. It also weighs lesser and is more fuel efficient. It has more storage room
Many urban cities face immense traffic problems from increased automobiles on the road and inadequate road infrastructure or inappropriate roads. It is indeed a dreadful for many to navigate through the congestion. Roads are often not suited for easy driving of automobiles. Public transport is not often efficient or adequate. Cars are not affordable to the swelling middle class. Motorcycles then become the preferred means of transport in many countries, cities and towns. They are affordable when compared to a car. Motorcycles constitute the most popular means of transport in many countries, particularly in the Asian countries of China, India, Indonesia and Vietnam. The global sales of motorcycles are reported to have grown by 6.5 percent in 2008 not withstanding the global economic meltdown. The US too has seen increased sales in motorcycle. It is often observed that sub-cultures are formed by groups of motorcyclists who act as loose social groups. Motorcycle racing has become popular in the world of motor racing and sport.
{Lambretta and Vespa are two well known scooters that set the trend. Later versions of scooters have introduced larger engines and tires, newer technological features, more automation, and comfort features. There are many automotive industries who manufacture a variety of motorcycles. Newer and improved models are launched in the market due to its high demand amongst motor vehicles. There are many user friendly scooters in the market as the Roketa Bali 150cc in the market. The popularity of scooters was set by Vespa and Lambretta worldwide. Better and more efficient scooters were launched. Newer technologies made it better to ride. They had better tires and larger engines. More features were added. A variety of designs are on the road brought out by many motorcycle manufacturers. Increasing demand and demand for better features have brought out improved models. }
Fuel efficiency is higher in motorcycles than automobiles. Motorcycles are attractive because they are more efficient at a time when fuel prices are on the increase and where petroleum is a non-renewable source of energy. However, unlike the car, the passenger capacity of motorcycles is limited. Green house emission is lower in motorcycles and therefore considered more environment friendly. But these are many times more polluting than the car. A major pollutant emitted by motorcycle is nitrogen oxide which is a combustion byproduct. Another important factor is that motorcycles are more prone to accidents with fatalities as compared to automobiles.
How To Beat The Traffic
Ever since motorcycle was first developed in 1885 by Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach, two German inventors, these have become popular modes of transport. Some Asian countries such as China, India, Indonesia and Vietnam have more motorcycles than other vehicles. Their sales have been increasing in countries such as the United States. There are a number of factors that have made motorcycles popular these days. Primary among them is the easy maneuverability in city traffic that is increasingly caught up in nasty traffic snarls. People also have to commute long distance from their home to their place of work. Parking place is difficult to find. Even if one finds them, it will be overcrowded. Running a vehicle in cities is becoming expensive having to pay toll charges, congestion charges, road tax and parking fees. Motorcycles become handy. They are more economical with better fuel efficacy too.
Scooters too are classified under motorcycles. It has smaller engines and its wheels are smaller as compared to motorbikes. It is more comfortable to ride. The legs can be placed on the running board with the knees kept together. There is a protective fender in front of the knees to protect the legs. Many modifications have been made to the designs of the scooter.
Maxi-scooters and motor-scooters have more powerful engines and body. There are the four wheeled scooters too in the market. The Nextsport Fusion Scooter is a four wheeled scooter capable of rotating the front wheel 360 degrees. This scooter is specifically aimed at kids of seven or more years. It is an ideal gift for kids.
Public transport system is giving way to private transport. Rather than promote mass transit systems, the trend is towards rapid promotion of private transport. Though fuel prices are rising, better fuel efficient engines are replacing the old guzzlers. Many of the cities have been up-scaling transport infrastructure which seems to be one of the biggest economic activities. More and more broader flyovers crisscross the cities. Expressways and four lane traffic lanes are replacing the old roads which are simply unable to take the increasing load any longer. Motorcycles have also become attractive with all these developments.
My Only Dream
Whenever I went to the park, I used to watch the kids doing tricks with their scooters. No wonder that my biggest desire was to have one of my own, and try all those stunts. My parents tried to convince that I need to grow up a little, and understand the value of money by working for it.
I finally learnt it, and I started doing chores not only for my parents, but for everybody in the neighborhood that asked for any help. It wasn’t as easy as I expected, and the money I got wasn’t much, but I kept doing it. The model I wanted was too expensive for the money I had, so I bought another one.
As I could wait no more, I bought a scooter that wasn’t as expensive as the desired one. I was so proud of it; I wanted to show it to all my friends. They didn’t seem much impressed, but after a few days they agreed to come and see my precious toy. They tried it on, fought about who’s getting the next ride, and suddenly, they all wanted to have one. I gave them the best advice, and now, everybody in my group has its own scooter.
That was just the start. They came to me for advice, and even when they needed some small fixes to their scooters. In no time I had the money for my dream scooter: the Fuzion Asphalt Ultimate Carving Scooter, the best scooter ever made. That was exactly what I needed for trying those tricks I used to envy the older kids for. My scooter became the star of the neighborhood kids, and I was really proud of it. Nobody had a scooter like mine, or could do the thing I could do with it.
Now I spend all my time at the park, doing tricks with my new scooter, and showing off to my friends. It isn’t as difficult as I had originally thought, and I’m very happy to use something I bought with my own money. My parents are pleased with me as well, and say I’ve earned it.
Be Smart use Electric Scooters
With the world economy facing one of its worst recession since the great depression, consumers are cutting down on their spending in order to weather through this tough period. One of the major spend items in our modern life today is on transportation. Although the price of oil has come down tremendously in the past year, it’s still considerably expensive to own a car and keep in running for our daily errands. While we may not be able to completely do without cars especially if we have a family with young kids but we can certainly have an alternative backup mode of transportation. I’m talking about electric scooter, like its namesake it’s runs completely on electric without using gasoline at all although nowadays they have the hybrid ones which can run on both. Electric scooters are not expensive, the price ranges from USD350-USD4000 depending on the type and model. Most people can still afford this especially if it means reducing their spend on petrol or gasoline. Furthermore electric scooters are also environmentally friendly, relatively quiet so it’s great for reducing the noise levels in our cities as well. Electric scooters can run up to 20 miles an hour although some of latest model can do faster than that. Some people might think that this is nothing as compared to the powerful gasoline bikes and cars. While it’s true that the speed is nothing to shout about however think of the gasoline/petrol that you can save every time you use your electric scooter. If you are single or do not have any kids, electric scooters are perfect vehicles for you to get around even to work especially if you live less than 10 miles from your work place. Parking is also non hassle as it could fit into any small space or corners so you do not to pay exorbitant amount of parking fees.
Electric scooters have been moving up steadily on the popular mode of transportation chart in the last few years. Apart from the economy, it also has a lot to do the types of products that are available in the market. Electric scooters have made some leaps and bounds since it was first developed years ago and now electric scooters are seen as a cool vehicle to have. The companies that make these scooter have also come a long way in terms of their R&D and quality of products. In the past year, we have seen the emergence of some new companies in the electric scooters industry. They’re none other than Ego and E-Max. They have had great success since they launched their range of electric scooters last year. It’s estimated that E-Max has sold more than 1000 of its powerful USD3000 model since it was launched. So what’re the popular electric scooters around? Without a shadow of doubt, it’s the Xtreme range of scooters. The price of Xtreme scooters ranges from USD150 to USD2000 depending on the model or course. For those who love a bit of speed, you might to want try out Xtreme-XB500. As for the entry level or novice riders, the Xtreme X10 is a good choice. Another range of electric scooters are the Ego’s bike where it cost around USD1000 but it’s extremely durable and easy to handle. The Egos are good for city rides and it’s fairly cheap to maintain as well.
Some of the electric scooters also have a motor-protected circuitry that enables the scooter to move ahead and gain speed even before the assist starts working. So when the throttle-switch is released, the unique design of the electric scooters allow the motor to coast or “freewheel” in a way most commonly seen in regular bikes. The electric scooters can be truly enjoyable as they have an easy acceleration that helps them to glide smoothly through heavy winds as well as climb hills smoothly.
I have talked briefly about different brands of electric scooters, now I’ll touch on the types of scooters out there. The first type is an entry level ones where it can reach a maximum of 7-8 miles an hour. The intermediate scooters can do about 14-15 miles as hour. Finally the advance type or Voloci which happens to be the most popular type is equipped with many modern features such as quick-swap battery packs, automatic key ignition and it can do beyond 20 miles an hour
Lastly how does an electric scooter work? Basically it works with the aid of motors and batteries that make them easy for traveling. While a variety of switches control speed, the bicycle hand brakes are installed on the handlebars to keep the electric scooters under control. The batteries are generally placed beneath the feet thereby easing travel further. The scooters could travel up to 40-50 km an hour but again that depends on the model and make. For most entry level scooters, they could only manage about 10-15 km an hour which is a safe speed for beginner riders.
The best way to know whether electric scooters are for you or not will be to try out one at your nearest showroom or retail shop. I can guarantee that once you ride it, it’s difficult to give it up. I was also once a sceptic but after seeing my friends and colleagues enjoying themselves with their scooters, I just didn’t want to be left out!
Electric scooter the mean green machine
With the doom and gloom on the economy expected to continue to next year and perhaps will remain in the next 2 years have caused consumers to cut down on their spending. One of the big ticket items is actually transportation, in this case our private own cars which could leave a big dent on our monthly budget if the price of crude oil continues to be unpredictable. With rising living cost and job uncertainties, these are the things that we can possibly cut down. One of the ways to reduce our reliance on cars is to use alternative transportation such as public transport or electric vehicles eg. Electric scooter or bike. Electric scooters are particularly suitable for single working adult who live between 1-10 miles from their office. The price of an electric scooter is not expensive ad it ranges from £300-£3,000 depending on the type and model. Not only that it reduces the need for fuel consumption, it’s also friendly to the environment and I think it’s about time we do something for mother nature after all these years of taking from her. Electric scooters, which run on batteries that can be recharged from a domestic socket, are predicted to take off this year, as the price of fuel leaves many commuters with increasingly high transport costs. Zooming at 40 to 50 km per hour (about 20 miles) doesn’t seem like real speed these days especially with some modern sports cars and bikes that are capable to do 300-400 km an hour. But what if you do not need to pay for gasoline anymore to travel at the lower speed. I think most working class people wouldn’t mind the slower pace but could save hundreds or thousand of dollars per year on fuel is worth it all especially during the current economy climate. Well the good news is that we can do that now especially with the improvement of alternative fuel vehicles. We have the hybrid engine car where it has both electric and gasoline engine for better fuel consumption and friendlier to the environment and it’s also suitable for families with kids. However if you are single and looking for something economical to travel within the city, look no further, I highly recommend that you buy an electric scooter.

There are obviously different types of scooters and I’m not talking about the brand or model but the general classification of electric scooters irregardless of the manufacturer. The first type is zappy or the lower end (entry level) scooter which can reach a maximum speed of 10-12 km an hour. Next is the flyer which could do up to 20 km an hour and it’s gaining popularity due to its maneuvering simplicity. Finally the most advance type is the Voloci where it comes with many modern features like selectable performance models, quick-swap battery packs, key ignition.
How then does an electric scooter operate? It’s combination of electrical power from the batteries and feed it to the motor which the heart of the scooter. The speed is handled with a variety of switches and together with the handlebars and brakes provides the handling of the scooter. Some of the newer electric scooters come with computerised controls just like the modern cars to make the ride even smoother and safer.
So whether you are a novice or experience owner of the electric scooter, you would agree that there’s nothing more fun than riding your scooter around town with the wind brushing against your face and hair. Ohhh what a feeling!!! Go get one today and I promise that you will not regret it.
Saving Money: Cheap Scooter vs. Gas-Guzzling Car
Just 20 years ago the price of gas was under $1.00 a gallon. Today, with prices soaring to almost $4.00 and back again, we think it’s great when gas “sinks” to $3.00 a gallon! Most drivers have come to the conclusion that things are not quite right, and they’re making some changes. A considerable number of them are finding a more suitable way to go about their business, and quite a few of them are shopping for a cheap scooter that runs a long way on less gas or an electric motor scooter that doesn’t need gas at all.
Gas prices are getting to the point where just continuing our status quo of minimal driving habits is beginning to penetrate the rest of our activities. To have enough gas month we either we have to let go of something else or give up going out at all. The answer would seem simple: shop for a cheap scooter to ride to work or to use on short trips around town. You might be shocked at how much gas (and money) you can save just by switching to a scooter for trips to and from work! There are cheap scooters that can go 75 miles per hour, and are legal on the freeway so you don’t have to live necessarily close to work to take this option.
In addition to saving you money on gas, a cheap scooter can be an enjoyable way to get to and from work. It’s true that you can legally drive between cars and move to the head of the line when traffic is stalled, but it is also true that you will derive a exceptional pleasure in driving one of these scooter as well. Who could ask for more from a vehicle? You can purchase a great scooter for around two thousands dollars, and the money saved on gas will definitely pay that back in no time! Another fantastic thing about scooters is you can often park them in front of stores and restaurants as opposed to in the parking lot, and this keeps you from having to find a good spot. You’ll always get a front spot to park in! And, one final bonus, many other discerning persons are choosing a cheap scooter from their ride, so you might make a new friend and who knows where that might lead?
