Review of Crowd Mountain

Crowd Mountain, an innovative membership internet site, was established by Michelle MacPhearson on March 1, 2009.  The aim of Crowd Mountain is to train members in all facets of online business building and search engine marketing. To accomplish this, Michelle has created an Internet bootcamp, which may be a first online.  The first thing new members will be able to train from are the six bootcamp modules.  Michelle has produced bootcamp training modules that cover:

  • Niche the Niche: how to do proper research before making a new website.  Members gain access to a 17 page workbook that can be downloaded and printed, as well as six training videos.
  • Optimize for Size: how to develop and SEO (Search Engine Optimize) optimize an internet site for earning money.  Members have access to a downloadable workbook, an automatic affiliate profit generating and SEO enhancer plugin, and five downloadable site themes that have already been SEO optimized and may be used for any type of site.
  • Content Architecture: how to decide what kind of content to add to a website, as well as how to to publish the content.  Members have access to selective information on what kind of content Google really wants, a custom-tweaked plug-in that makes acquiring and publishing that content child’s play, and a private plugin that Michelle had made just for Crowd Mountain that will make building your internet site around a set of long-tail keywords tremendous easy.
  • Monetization Station: how to make money with a niche internet site with advertising, affiliate programs, or your own stuff.
  • Search Engine Assault: how to get Google to love your website and direct organic traffic to your website.
  • Power Networking: how to use social networking to to be recognized as an authority in your site’s niche.

The above list is merely a sampling of what Crowd Mountain members gain access to.  The rest you can read on the Crowd Mountain website.

How is Crowd Mountain?

To date, I have only seen and viewed the tutorials available in modules one, “Niche the Niche”, and two, “Optimize for Size”.  This is because Michelle is releasing one module per week, to prevent confusion and information overload.  Because the website is just a little over a week old (as of this writing), these are the only modules available.  So, this Crowd Mountain review is based on two things: the two modules I’ve already experienced, and my previous experience of Michelle’s training.

Regarding the two modules I have seen, they are top-notch.  Contained in the first module are not one, but three, training videos that instruct how to do keyword research.  The three videos deal with three different niches (one niche per video), so viewers get a very good understanding of the proper way to conduct keyword research.

The second module is all about how to properly setup a new WordPress blog to make sure it is SEO’d accurately from the get-go. Michelle explains how to install and setup the plugins that she believes most important for web site SEO.  I was already using some of the plugins, but, after viewing her videos for them, realized I had been using them incorrectly.  So, even in an area that I thought I knew, I learned something.

The Task Manager, a tool exclusive to Crowd Mountain members, is one of my favorite items.  Michelle had this program tailor-made just for this site.  The Task Manager software keeps track of what has and hasn’t been finished on every site you enter into it.  Most tasks are ones created by Michelle, but users can add their personal tasks if they like to do activities that Michelle doesn’t include.  This makes the software fully customizable to each member’s wants or needs.  I am loving this software!

Members also get to use a Snooper program: “The Snooper was made to look inside Google’s algorithm and literally SEE what link building and social media sites Google likes the most. Those are the sites to focus on – if they’re already in favor, piggyback your own sites on them for quick ranking.”  Is it truly as powerful as Michelle claims?  Yes!  Is it really easy to use?  Yes!

Special Bonus for Pioneer Members

Those who join within the first six weeks of the site’s launch will have a unique chance to submit questions to Michelle for each module’s live Q&A, normally held on the Friday after each module’s first appearance.  There is just one Q&A session per module, so get in on this chance to ask Michelle anything pertaining to that week’s module.

According to Michelle, “As a pioneer Crowd Mountain member, you’ll actually be able to attend the live session and ask your own, personal questions about the material and get answers directly from me.  Late comers will only get the recorded Q&A and will not be able to ask their personal questions.”

Go to Crowd Mountain to determine if it is right for you.  I can honestly say that everything Michelle states will be delivered, and then some.  Crowd Mountain is an excellent opportunity to learn, from the ground up, how to earn an income with websites.

Deciding On the Perfect SEO Agency For Your Business

The marketing of online businesses has changed greatly with the use of sites and web tools. However, misconceptions do exist and often prevent small companies to actually develop on the electronic market. It is therefore a huge mistake to believe that the on-page work is over after the design of the site. Well, things are not exactly so simple, and the daunting reality proves us that thousands of other similar businesses struggle for the same customers. The Internet jungle has thus convinced many people to turn to the services of a SEO agency for the constant site monitoring and optimization. The SEO agency selection process could be very demanding too and, you’d be making a mistake to work with the first company you come across. Some tests for checking and evaluation are necessary before you can take your pick from a list of SEO companies. The first element of appreciation consists in the past experience of a SEO agency in the field. How long have they serviced the market? Can they come up with credentials? Have they got satisfied customers? Be ready to discuss such fundamental issues before the signing of a contract. Always look for quality and not for quantity, and cover all the aspects of the optimization process. For instance you have a word to say in the approval of the list of keywords that the SEO agency puts together for the site optimization. Analyze it in detail, and take each keyword in turn and think whether you’d type it in the search box of the search engine. You must be aware of the customer psychology, since you are a customer yourself. Therefore, you’ll come to conclude that there are usually a group of very competitive keywords that must be included in the site content, and they agency usually work a lot to come up with them. From all the strategies covered with the SEO agency, that of the investments is the most important one. A company will have all the tools and softwares necessary for the site optimization, you’ll have a contract signed with them and a periodical fee to pay, but there are other costs that are not included in the package. For instance, the choice of the keywords and their implementation in the site content through programs like Google Adwords require the bidding on the phrases. The better the keyword, the more expensive it will be. And SEO involves other costs besides this one. Plan everything carefully to be certain of good results!

Choosing the Best Search Engine Marketing Solution for Your Website

Owning and handling a web site is not such an easy task. If you want your site to survive in the cruel virtual world of the Internet you need to make it popular and wanted for the information it contains. The page rank tells one how many people access the site in a certain period of time. The lower the traffic, the smaller the revenue; therefore, SEO becomes a must in order to prevent low profitability and faulty performance. Taking into account that search engines are the ones ruling the entire business, you need to perform search engine optimization to your site so that it will become visible to searchers. If you are a newbie in this field you can contract somebody to come up with the SEO solution for you until you manage to learn a bit about what optimization is and become able to carry it out yourself. Reading books available even in libraries or simply posted on the Internet will surely bring you up to date with the basics of one SEO solution or another that you may have to implement to make your site rank well.

There are some people who say that site optimization is difficult to perform and that this needs constant work. However there are others who will declare that implementing one SEO solution or another is not very difficult and can be done by yourself without having to pay somebody. Whichever the case, time is crucial, how fast can you make the site profitable? When it comes to a good SEO solution, the thing to focus on is the DO-IT-YOURSELF variant. The expression actually refers to the fact that you do not need to rely constantly on somebody to do something you are able to carry out on your own with a little bit of training. So go on and apply one SEO solution or another depending on what optimization method may work best for your site. And if anyone tells you that after having optimized your site there is no more need to worry, be sure that he or she knows little in this field. Optimization should be done constantly and should have in mind the design of your website too. In case a SEO company ignores certain aspects of your relationship with business partners, and makes errors in the SEO running process, as a well-documented site owner you will be able to identify the flaws and ask for the immediate mending.

Taking Your Local Offline Business Online

If you operate a small company with less than a dozen employees that serves mostly local clientele, then you need an online presence!

Increasingly, your potential clients are dispensing with those cumbersome Yellow Pages print books for Google and other Internet search engines. It is simple and quick to do a search for “Internet Marketing Service Charlottesville Virginia”. If you don’t discover the service you’re looking for in the city of Charlottesville, you can very simply extend your search to “Internet Marketing Services Central Virginia” or even “Internet Marketing Services Central Virginia”. (How much time and how many heavy telephone books would be required to do a wide area search like that with the Yellow Pages?)

Internet Marketing For Local Businesses

If your local business doesn’t employ the internet to advertise itself, keep in contact with its customers, broaden its reach, and take your competitions clients, you can bet that your competition will do it to you… and it may occur in the not too distant future.

For many small businesses, moving from conventional OFFline promotion to the ONline world is like pulling teeth. Many traditional firms hold on to “the way we’ve always done it” and reject online marketing.

How should you move your business from “the way it’s always been done” to an internet marketing mind set?

How To Take Your OFFline Business ONline…

Internet promotion does not always need a web site. Email promotion by itself can make a big difference.

For a small offline company to succeed with a marketing campaign on the web would most likely require the commitment (and salary) of a full time employee. Setting up a simple direct-response web site, acquiring a keyword rich domain name, search engine marketing, email marketing, article publishing, and other forms of web promotion are major chores. After your web site or email opt-in methods are created, promotion becomes the primary job. However, unless it is carried on on a daily basis, it won’t generate the wanted results.

An internet site is dandy, but it’s easily forgotten unless it is continually promoted and updated regularly.

Retaining a qualified external internet marketing service is a smart solution for small businesses who would like to to add a web presence to their marketing, but who don’t want the additional work.

Altogether, bridging the offline/online gap shouldn’t be considered a major problem. There are services — right in your own locality — that can help. Here’s a thought…  Why not Google “Internet Marketing Yourtown Yourstate” or “Market Your Business On The World Wide Web Yourtown Yourstate” and see what happens? It’s the smart way to do business today!

Using Google Adwords Keyword Selector Tool For Effective Ad Campaign

It is important that you know which keyword phrases to use as you begin creating and writing compelling ads for your Google Adwords campaign, so that people can easily find your ads. Google Adwords expert Perry Marshall encourages all Adwords users and pay-per-click managers to make full use of the Google Adwords Keyword Selector Tool when creating each ad. This free resource will allow users to uncover the best keywords in a niche, and may also assist in locating other related phrases for your campaigns, or in your keyword research. The Keyword Tool is especially helpful for fine-tuning your efforts when ads are performing poorly; if you’ve written an ad using low-traffic keywords, there is a good chance that your ads are not being clicked enough to make your ad effective.

Here are some additional methods for using Google’s Adwords Keyword Selector Tool to successfully create your Adwords campaign

1. Start with a broad search. Most people use very specific keyword phrases when they first begin conducting research with Adwords, and this might be a mistake because it will typically leave you only with average results. Start with a broad search alternatively and dig into the results with the “synonyms” tool that provides variations and more suggestions as a part of the results.

2. Create different ad groups using a set of similar keywords. Try to be certain that you are creating completely new ad groups for each campaign you create, so you can monitor what’s working – and what is not. There is a ‘relevant keywords’ feature built right into the Adwords Keyword Selector Tool (that you can use) that will make it easier for you to narrow down your search.

3. Use ‘negative keywords’. Optimizing your Adwords campaign can sometimes involve taking out the words that don’t work in your niche, the Google Adwords tool can be adjusted to not show certain words that don’t fit in your market. An example of this would be, using the negative keywords to eliminate the word “free” from triggering your ad, thus improving your ROI by only displaying your ad to people who are looking to potentially buy. The Google Adwords Keyword Selector Tool will now only show you results without the word ‘free.’

4. If you aren’t sure where to start, you can use the Site Content feature. Google can scan your web page and offer suggestions of keywords based on your site’s content. For example, if your website displays info about trends or services in your niche, these might also be good keywords to use in your market. After the search process, you will be given a list of targeted keywords related to these concepts and areas in the search results.

5. Location, location, location. There are many advertisers that don’t realize how important adding geographic modifiers to your search phrase (like a city or state) really is. This can be important if you provide products or services that are geographically specific; the visitors you get from these types of phrases might be better than a less specific search, and will provide more qualified traffic to your site. Consider appending a keyword or keyphrase with a location to determine the best combinations for your ad campaign.

Marketing with Google Adwords is a powerful technique that most online-businesses can use to attract more sales. Creating quality Google Ads is one of the most important skills to have when using Adwords – and there are many quality training resources available online. .

5 SEO Tips To Get Your Website Ranked Higher

For the beginning Webmaster, SE Optimization is a complete mystery. As a SEO in Dallas it’s my belief that a lot of this is the result of all the B.S. written by self described SEO Guru’s. Some do this because they don’t have a clue about SEO while others do it to keep their Clients in the dark about what they really do. SEO isn’t rocket science people. It’s nothing more than systematically building and optimizing a website the same way over and over to achieve high rankings.

You want to get off to a good start. To begin with, one should make sure that your main keywords are used in the web address if you can arrange it. With everything except the domain names being equal, a site with your keywords in the address will outrank one without the keywords contained in the web address.

Next, the keyword or keyword phrase should be used in the Website name. By doing this, you’re helping search engines like Google,Yahoo and MSN come to a conclusion as to what your Website is about.

You should also use keywords in the Title of each page or article on your site, or at least, the Title of the page should contain your some keywords. This has the same effect as putting keywords in the Title of your Website in that it helps the search engines figure out what the page is about, what words to rank it for and how relevant it is. Plus, the Website or Blog should be designed so that the Page Title is in the H1 tag. Search engines give a lot of value to the H1 tag and so it’s important in good SEO practices. If your web designer does not know how this is done, fire them and find one that understands SEO.

If you have that done, it is important that the keywords you want to rank for show up within the page itself. For best results, you should use them at least once in the first paragraph and several more times througout the article depending on the length. It’s also important to put it near the end of the page or article. A few more times between the first and last paragraph is also a good idea, whatever you do, make certain to use them in the first part of the page and again at the end.

Lastly, the most important aspect of Website SEO actually takes place off your Website. In my opinion, the most important thing in ranking a Website is backlinks leading back to your Website. And it’s not enough to just get backlinks, these links back to your site need to have your keywords as the Anchor text of the links back to your site.

How important are backward links? I have ranked quite a few Websites that didn’t have the keywords in the URL, plus I can rank one that doesn’t have keywords in the Website Title, Page Title and in the Content (although it’s much, much harder to do), but without targeted backward links leading back to your site, {it’s almost impossible} to to get higher rankings in the search engines for any terms that are the least bit competitive.
